Is there a tool to share ad previews from LinkedIn, Meta and Google with my team for approval before launch?

By The Tofu team ·

Partly. Google and Meta can make shareable preview links: Google Ads shareable previews last 14 days, Meta Ads Manager links to unpublished ads last 30 or 60 days, and Meta Creative Hub mockup links last 3 months. Google says reviewers can't approve or comment, and Meta describes no way to. LinkedIn's help describes previews only inside Campaign Manager, so reviewers need access to the ad account, or you send screenshots. For comments and a recorded sign-off across all three, use a proofing tool such as Filestage or Ziflow (both have free plans), or AdManage for batches of Meta ads.

As of October 2026.

1. Meta: Creative Hub mockups and Ads Manager previews

Creative Hub mockups let you show an ad to people outside your ad account. Build the ad as a mockup in Meta Creative Hub, then use its Share link option.

  • Meta says you can share a preview link "with people you work with, even if they're not Meta Creative Hub collaborators."
  • "Preview links aren't password protected." Anyone with the link, even outside your business, can see the ad, whether it's published or not.
  • "Preview links expire after 3 months for security reasons."
  • To cut access, turn off link sharing. People who already have the link lose access until you turn it back on.
  • The link always shows the latest version of the mockup, so a client sees edits as you make them. To freeze a version for sign-off, duplicate the mockup and send a new link.

Ads Manager previews. While you build an ad, the Ad preview section on the right shows each placement. Select Share to see the sharing options (which ones appear depends on the objective, format and placements):

  • Share previews: copy a URL to "invite people you work with to see a published or unpublished ad." For an unpublished ad, you choose whether the URL stays active for 30 or 60 days. Edits show up in the link until the ad is published, and then the URL stops working. People who open a link to a published ad see a request to show it in all selected placements for 24 hours. Meta doesn't say whether the person needs a Facebook login, so open the link in a private browser window before you send it.
  • Variation previews can't be shared: the link shows your original creative and one possible variation.
  • Preview on device: Send notification to Facebook puts a preview in your own Facebook app. Meta says it works on iOS only, not on Android or Instagram.

Meta says previews "are only examples of how your ad may appear," and that appearance can vary with the device, the format and the creative enhancements you turn on.

If an AI agent builds your Meta ads: on October 6, 2026, Meta said work staged through its ads MCP server "now lands as a draft in Ads Manager," with "explicit approval before anything goes live."

2. Google Ads: shareable previews and the Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool

Shareable previews. Google says this preview type "is available for both Google Ads users and non-Google Ads users," and "Anyone with the link can review previews for 14 days." Google's steps: open the Asset groups tab and select your campaign, open the Assets drop-down, click the Share preview icon, then copy the link. For Video campaigns, the preview gallery has a share icon, and that link is also valid for 14 days.

Limits, from Google's help:

  • Expired links "cannot be renewed," so share and review within 14 days.
  • "Neither Google Ads users nor non-Google Ads users can accept, reject, or add comments to shareable previews." Collect sign-off somewhere else.
  • Previews don't show every combination of headlines, descriptions and images, and you can't filter to one combination.
  • "Previews do not guarantee the final ad appearance."

Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool. It shows how your ad appears on a Google search results page, and why an ad or asset may not be showing, without counting impressions. Its "Share this search" option lets you send the URL to colleagues or clients so they can view the results for that search. Google doesn't say whether the recipient needs account access, and a preview may stop appearing once a campaign reaches its average daily budget. It's built for checking Search ads, not for signing off new creative.

3. LinkedIn: Campaign Manager previews

You can preview an ad after you've saved it to an ad set:

  1. In Campaign Manager, click Advertise and select the campaign and ad set.
  2. On the Ads tab, move your cursor over the ad name and click Edit.
  3. Click the More icon next to the ad and select Preview.
  4. Pick Desktop Feed or Mobile Feed, or select Show in feed to open the preview in a new browser tab. If LinkedIn Audience Network is on, you can also preview its top placements.

Message and conversation ads don't appear in the preview pane. Instead, you can send yourself a test message. LinkedIn also says "The preview isn't an exact representation" of the live ad, and it may change colors, fonts and layout.

LinkedIn's help describes no way to share a preview link with someone outside the ad account. Your native options are:

  • Add the reviewer to the ad account as a Viewer. Viewers can view campaign performance but can't edit ads. LinkedIn's help doesn't say outright that Viewers can open previews, so check with your reviewer first.
  • Send screenshots of the desktop and mobile previews, or put them in a proofing tool (see below).

For developers: LinkedIn's Ad Preview API returns desktop and mobile iframe previews that partners can embed on their own sites. It needs a signed-in member with a role on the ad account (Viewer is one of the roles allowed), and the iframes are valid for up to 3 hours.

4. AdManage.ai

AdManage.ai is an ad launching tool. Its preview links put a whole batch of ads behind "One link. Every ad. No Business Manager login." It says "Anyone with the link can review the ads. No login and no Meta account required." After sign-off, you launch the same drafts without rebuilding them.

  • Cost: Essential £199.99 per month (1 ad account), In-house £499.99 (5), Agency £999.99 (10), Enterprise custom. No free trial is listed; there's a 7-day money-back guarantee on Essential and 30 days on the others.
  • Limits: the preview links page describes Meta placements only (feed, stories and reels), even though AdManage lists LinkedIn and Google among its channels. It doesn't describe comments or an approve button, and the pricing page doesn't say which plans include preview links.

5. Filestage

Filestage is an online proofing tool. You upload videos, images, documents, websites or HTML, and reviewers add comments and approve files. They don't need to make an account.

  • Cost: Free plan (1 active project, 5 new files per month), Starter $249 per month or $199 per month billed yearly, Business $399 per month or $329 billed yearly, Enterprise custom. 14-day trial.
  • Limits: it isn't connected to your ad accounts. You upload screenshots or exported creative, so check that the ad you build matches the approved file.

6. Ziflow

Ziflow is a proofing tool with review stages, which suits agencies with several sign-off steps. It says "You can have unlimited reviewers on any edition. A user license is only required to create and manage proofs."

  • Cost: Free plan (2 users, 1 workflow stage, public proof links), Standard $199 per month billed annually (2 stages), Pro $329 per month billed annually (3 stages), Enterprise on request.
  • Limits: like Filestage, it works on uploaded files, not live ads.

7. Tofu Ads Agent (our product)

Tofu Ads Agent plans and builds LinkedIn, Google and Meta campaigns, and stages them in your own ad account switched off. They never launch automatically: a person turns them on. Its weekly bid, budget and creative recommendations stay proposals until you approve them. Every creative element is an editable layer, so you can make the changes a reviewer asks for.

Tofu doesn't have client-approval links or preview sharing. For sign-off from people outside the ad account, use the platform previews above or screenshots in a proofing tool. It costs $2,500 per month, flat.

How to choose

  • A teammate with ad account access: the platform's own preview.
  • A client with no access: a Google shareable preview (14 days), a Meta Creative Hub link (3 months), or a Meta Ads Manager share link (30 or 60 days for an unpublished ad; open it in a private window first, since Meta doesn't say whether it needs a login). For LinkedIn, Viewer access or screenshots.
  • A formal sign-off with comments and a record: Filestage or Ziflow. Both have free plans to start.
  • Many Meta ads at once: AdManage.ai.
  • You want nothing to go live until a person turns it on: Tofu Ads Agent stages campaigns switched off.
