Is there an AI tool that writes on-brand Google Ads headlines and descriptions for B2B?
Yes, several, but none of them knows your brand until you give it your material. Google's own tools are built into Google Ads: text customization (formerly automatically created assets) adds headlines and descriptions from your landing pages inside AI Max, and the conversational experience drafts them when you build a campaign or ad. ChatGPT and Claude write drafts from a messaging doc you paste in. Jasper, Anyword and Optmyzr add brand voice settings, predicted scores or your account's past ads. Whatever you use, check Google's 30- and 90-character limits and every claim before you publish.
As of October 2026.

1. Google's own tools: text customization and the conversational experience
Text customization is the new name for automatically created assets, now a campaign-level setting in AI Max for Search campaigns. It generates extra headlines and descriptions from your domain, landing page, existing ads and ad group keywords. Google says it reviews them at least every 48 hours and refreshes them as needed, serves them only when they're predicted to beat the ones you wrote, and doesn't count them toward your 15 headlines and 4 descriptions. You can preview up to 10 samples before you opt in and remove any asset you don't like. Starting in September 2026, Google upgraded campaigns that used automatically created assets to AI Max; see what that upgrade changed.
To keep it on-brand, Google is testing text guidelines (an "experimental beta"): up to 25 term exclusions and 40 messaging restrictions per campaign, such as how to spell your brand name or a tone to avoid. Google warns that poorly written guidelines can remove a large number of good assets.
The conversational experience is a chat panel that appears, if your account is eligible, when you create a Search campaign or create or edit a responsive search ad. You enter a landing page URL, edit the business summary Google AI writes, and it suggests keywords, headlines, descriptions, images and sitelinks for you to approve or revise. It works in English, French, Spanish and German, not for sensitive verticals, and Google says it "may not generate responses that are accurate or relevant."
Google also creates account-level automated assets such as dynamic sitelinks, callouts and structured snippets when it predicts they'll improve results. The limit for B2B: all of these work from your website and what's already in your account, not your sales calls or CRM. If your landing page is vague about who you serve, the copy will be too.
Whatever tool writes the copy, it has to fit Google's limits:
| Asset | Google's rule |
|---|---|
| Responsive search ad headlines | 3 to 15 per ad, up to 30 characters each |
| Responsive search ad descriptions | 2 to 4 per ad, up to 90 characters each |
| Display path | Up to 15 characters per path field |
| Sitelinks | Link text up to 25 characters; two optional description lines of up to 35 characters (set both or neither) |
| Callouts | Up to 25 characters each |
| Structured snippets | A header from Google's list (for example Service catalog, Types or Brands) and 3 to 10 values, up to 25 characters each |
Headlines and descriptions can show in any order, so each one has to make sense alone. Text that must appear in every ad has to be pinned to Headline 1, Headline 2 or Description 1. Google says pinning reduces the combinations it can match to a search and can affect Ad Strength. Ad Strength counts your text and Google's generated text equally, and it doesn't decide whether an ad can serve.
2. ChatGPT or Claude with your brand materials
A general AI assistant can draft copy at low cost if you give it the right inputs: your messaging doc, the landing page, your ideal customer profile, your best past ads and the words you never use. Ask for 15 headlines under 30 characters, 4 descriptions under 90, and assets within the limits above.
- ChatGPT: Free; Go $8 a month; Plus $20 a month (US dollars, on OpenAI's ChatGPT Work and Codex pricing page).
- Claude: Free; Pro $20 billed monthly, or $17 a month billed annually ($200 up front). Free includes up to 5 Projects.
Limits: neither sees your account, search terms or which ads won unless you give them that data, and out of the box neither publishes to Google Ads, so you paste the copy in or use Google Ads Editor. Count characters yourself, and check every claim (features, numbers, customer names) against your site, because an assistant can state things your product doesn't do.
3. Jasper
Jasper's Search Ad agent writes headlines and descriptions built around your target queries and offers. Jasper says it writes "within Google Ads and Microsoft Ads character limits" and follows your Brand Voice, Style Guide, Audiences and Knowledge Base. The output is meant to be pasted into Google Ads or Microsoft Ads editors.
Cost: Pro is $59 a month per seat billed yearly or $69 billed monthly, with one seat and a 7-day free trial. Jasper's agent page lists the Search Ad agent in both Pro and Business. Business has custom pricing and adds more users, more agents and API access.
Limits: on Pro you get 2 Brand Voices, 3 Audiences and 5 knowledge assets, and Jasper's pricing page lists Style Guide only on Business. Jasper's pages don't say it connects to your Google Ads account or reads your performance data, so it writes from your brand setup, not your results.
4. Anyword
Anyword has a Google Ads generator that writes headlines and descriptions for search ads. Each variation gets a Predictive Performance Score that Anyword says estimates how well the copy will perform, and its integrations page lists Google Ads as an account you can connect.
Cost: Starter is $49 a month billed monthly or $39 a month billed yearly (1 seat, 1 brand voice; 50 performance predictions on monthly billing, 100 on yearly). Data-Driven is $99 a month billed monthly or $79 billed yearly (3 seats; 100 performance predictions on monthly billing, 175 on yearly). Both have a 7-day free trial.
Limits: the score is Anyword's own prediction, built from its data, not a test in your account. Its audience analytics show age and gender, which says little about B2B buyers you reach by job and company. Performance predictions are capped by plan, and Anyword's pricing page puts connecting a marketing channel to learn from your past campaigns on its Business plan, which has custom pricing.
5. Optmyzr
Optmyzr is a PPC management platform, and ad copy is one part of it. Its responsive search ad tool suggests headlines and descriptions drawn from the active ads in the campaign or ad group, based on click-through rate, and uploads the ads you approve to Google Ads. Optmyzr also says that when you tell it what you're promoting, it suggests headline and description ideas "that fit your tone and ad policies." Its A/B test and account audit tools offer AI suggestions too, and its own help center says to "always review AI-generated output before applying changes."
Cost: list price from $209 a month billed annually or $299 billed monthly (Essentials, for up to $25K in monthly ad spend); the price rises with ad spend. A pre-Black Friday sale that cut the annual price to $164 a month ended September 30, 2026. There's a 14-day free trial.
Limits: you're paying for a full account management platform. Suggestions lean on your existing ads, so a new account gives it little to work from.
6. Tofu Ads Agent (our product)
Tofu Ads Agent is an AI agent for B2B paid programs on LinkedIn, Google Search, Google Display and Meta. It connects to HubSpot or Salesforce and your ad accounts and reads your closed-won and closed-lost deals, pipeline and last 200 live ads to propose an ICP and segments. When it builds a Google Search campaign, it researches keywords from your site, CRM deals and account history, checked against Keyword Planner, and writes the responsive search ads, sitelinks, callouts and structured snippets. The same build covers themed ad groups, negative keywords from search terms, bidding, budgets and schedule. Campaigns are staged in your own account switched off and never launch automatically, and weekly creative recommendations stay proposals until you approve them.
Cost: a flat $2,500 a month, not a percentage of ad spend, with a recommended media budget of at least $3,000 a month.
Limits: it isn't a standalone copywriting tool, so if you only want headlines for an existing campaign, one of the options above costs less. It doesn't write Microsoft Ads.
How to choose
- You want a first draft without leaving Google Ads: use the conversational experience, and turn on text customization only if your landing pages say exactly what you want in an ad.
- You want tight control over a few ad groups: give ChatGPT or Claude your messaging doc and check every line yourself.
- A team writes ads across channels and needs one brand voice: Jasper or Anyword.
- You manage many Google accounts and want copy ideas from past performance: Optmyzr.
- You want the copy built into B2B campaigns planned from CRM data: Tofu Ads Agent.
