Is there an AI tool that watches my ad accounts and alerts me in Slack when something goes wrong?
Yes, but no ad platform sends alerts to Slack on its own. Google Ads rules alert you by email and Meta rules in Ads Manager. LinkedIn Campaign Manager has fixed email notifications but no automated rules. For Slack alerts on Google and Meta, a third-party tool is the easy route: Optmyzr (from $209 per month, billed annually), Opteo (from $129 per month, Google-first) or Birch (Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat). LinkedIn alerts in Slack are the gap. Few tools confirm them, so you may need to build your own check with an AI assistant.
As of October 2026.

1. Google Ads: automated rules and scripts
Automated rules change bids, budgets or status, or just send you an email, when conditions you set are met. Create one from Tools > Bulk actions > Rules, or from the table you want it to watch, and fill in the conditions, frequency and Email results. Rules aren't instant: Google says the standard turnaround is within 2 hours, so a rule set for 9 a.m. may run as late as 11 a.m. Alerts go to email only.
Google Ads scripts are JavaScript that runs inside your account. Google's developer docs say scripts can run hourly, daily, weekly or monthly, for up to 30 minutes per run. The Google Ads Help page lists once, daily, weekly or monthly, with no hourly option, so check what your account offers. Scripts can send data to outside services with UrlFetchApp, and a Slack incoming webhook accepts a JSON message at a unique URL. So a script that checks spend each hour and posts to a Slack channel is possible. You, or someone on your team, has to write and maintain it.
2. Meta: automated rules and the Meta AI business assistant
Automated rules in Ads Manager check your campaigns, ad sets or ads and act when conditions are met. Actions include turning items on or off, adjusting budget or manual bid, and Send notification only. Notifications land in the business notifications menu in Ads Manager. Limits: up to 250 rules per ad account, one of each condition per rule, and no rules on ads about social issues, elections or politics.
Meta AI business assistant: in its October 6, 2026 Advertising Week post, Meta said it is "testing scheduled tasks and alerts that handle recurring work like performance monitoring, weekly summaries, and reminders to review your budgets." It is a test, so you may not have it, and Meta hasn't said it will post to Slack.
3. LinkedIn: no native rules
Campaign Manager sends fixed notifications, for example when an ad's status changes and it can't run, when an ad set has ended or is ending soon, or when you get a lead. You can get each type by email immediately, daily or never. LinkedIn's help center doesn't describe automated rules or custom performance alerts, such as a spend or cost threshold. To get LinkedIn alerts in Slack, you need a third-party tool that confirms LinkedIn alerts, or your own setup (option 7).
4. Optmyzr
Optmyzr is a PPC management suite. Its Rule Engine runs your own if-then rules, and its social Rule Engine covers Meta and LinkedIn, with actions such as pausing ads, changing budgets or "sending alerts when certain thresholds are met." Optmyzr on Slack lets you ask for budget checks and performance data, and sends budget, performance and anomaly alerts to your DMs.
- Cost: "starting at $209 a month" with annual billing ($299 billed monthly at the lowest spend tier), priced by ad spend; 14-day free trial.
- Limits: rule frequency depends on plan (Essentials: weekly or monthly; Premium: daily, weekly or monthly; hourly only on Enterprise, on demand). The Slack page lists Google, Microsoft, Meta and Amazon, not LinkedIn.
5. Opteo
Opteo is built around Google Ads, and its help center also covers LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads and Meta recommendations, such as excluding underperforming companies on LinkedIn. Alerts go by email by default, or to Slack: one shared channel, or one channel per account. Slack alert types include unexpected changes, zero impressions, zero conversions, budget and performance records.
- Cost: $129 per month (10 accounts, $25,000 monthly spend), $249 or $499 per month for larger tiers, custom above that.
- Limits: data refreshes every 24 hours on Basic, 12 on Professional and Agency, 6 on Enterprise. Opteo doesn't say which alert types work for LinkedIn.
6. Birch (formerly Revealbot)
Birch runs automated rules on Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat. Rules can run as often as every 15 minutes, and alerts about triggered rules or errors go to email or Slack. You can also send pre-built reports to Slack channels.
- Cost: priced by monthly ad spend. The Pro plan, which includes automated rules, is listed at $99 per month for up to $10K spend. 14-day free trial.
- Limits: no LinkedIn.
7. Build your own: AI assistant, ads connectors and Slack
Some teams connect an AI assistant to their ad accounts and to Slack, then have it run a check on a schedule and post a summary. The pieces exist:
- Google: Google's official Google Ads MCP server lets an AI client query account data. It is read-only in the current release.
- Meta: Meta's ads MCP server works with ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Perplexity. It can pull reports and signal diagnostics, and any action needs your authorization.
- LinkedIn: we found no official LinkedIn MCP server in LinkedIn's help center. Third-party connectors exist; check each vendor's permissions.
The catch: an assistant only answers when it runs. You need a scheduler, clear thresholds, and someone to fix it when a connector breaks. Treat the output as a summary to review, not a guarantee that nothing was missed.
8. Tofu Ads Agent (our product)
Tofu Ads Agent plans, builds and optimizes LinkedIn, Google and Meta programs, and you can work with it from Slack or Microsoft Teams as well as the web app. Each week it proposes bid, budget and creative changes, which stay proposals until you approve them. Its analytics agent answers questions about your programs in plain language. It doesn't send real-time alerts or watch for anomalies, so pair it with one of the tools above if you need those. It costs $2,500 per month, flat.
How to choose
- Google only: start with automated rules (free). Add a script with a Slack webhook, or Opteo, if you want Slack.
- Google and Meta, with Slack: Optmyzr or Birch.
- LinkedIn in the mix: no tool here confirms LinkedIn alerts in Slack. Use Optmyzr's rules for LinkedIn and check in Optmyzr, or build your own check.
- You want weekly recommendations and a plain-language analyst in Slack, not alarms: Tofu Ads Agent.
