Can I break down Meta partnership ad results by creator now, and which metrics does the new breakdown include?

Yes, but only through Meta's Marketing API for now. Since November 5, 2026, a new Ads Insights API breakdown splits partnership ad results by the creator's Instagram handle. It returns impressions, reach, link clicks and video completion (25% to 100% watched), with data from September 24, 2026. It doesn't return spend, costs or conversions such as leads, and it can't be combined with other breakdowns. Meta's changelog lists only API endpoints, and we found no Meta page that adds it to Ads Manager.

As of November 2026.

Can I see results by creator in Ads Manager?

Not that Meta has documented. Meta announced the breakdown in its Marketing API out-of-cycle changelog, and the affected endpoints it lists are all Insights API calls. We found no Meta help article or announcement that adds a creator option to Ads Manager's breakdowns as of November 6, 2026. Until one appears, the API (or a reporting tool that adds this breakdown) is the only way to get it.

Which metrics does the creator breakdown include?

Only these, according to Meta's breakdowns reference:

FieldWhat it is
impressionsImpressions
reachReach
inline_link_clicksLink clicks
video_p25_watched_actions to video_p100_watched_actionsVideo plays to 25%, 50%, 75%, 95% and 100%
date_start, date_stop and other date fieldsThe reporting dates
Object IDs and names, such as campaign_id and ad_nameWhich campaign, ad set or ad the row belongs to

Each row also carries the creator's handle in the pa_creator_ig_handle field, for example @example_creator_a. Meta says breakdown values are estimated.

Can I see leads or cost per lead by creator?

No. Meta says spend, cost fields, unique fields, the actions field and conversion metrics aren't supported. Ask for spend and the API leaves it out of the response instead of returning an error, so check that every field you asked for came back. For a B2B team, this breakdown shows attention (reach, clicks, how much of the video people watched), not leads or pipeline.

To get leads by creator, structure the campaign so each ad runs with one creator, then compare ads in Ads Manager. Add a UTM tag naming the creator to each ad's URL so your CRM can tie leads to the creator too. If creators supplied different videos, Ads Manager's Media breakdown, where your account has it, splits an ad's results by video; see which image, video or text brought the leads.

Can I combine it with age, placement or other breakdowns?

No. Meta says to request pa_creator_ig_handle as the only breakdown. A request that adds another one, such as age, gender or publisher_platform, returns an error.

How far back does the data go?

To September 24, 2026. Earlier partnership ad results can't be split by creator. If Meta can't resolve a handle, for example because the creator's Instagram account no longer exists, the row shows unknown.

Which API versions and levels does it work at?

All Marketing API versions, at four levels:

  • GET /act_{ad-account-id}/insights (ad account)
  • GET /{campaign-id}/insights
  • GET /{ad-set-id}/insights
  • GET /{ad-id}/insights

At the account or campaign level, you get one row per creator for everything in it. At the ad level, add level=ad to see each ad split by creator.

How do I request it?

Add breakdowns=pa_creator_ig_handle and the fields you want to a normal insights call. Meta's own example for a campaign:

curl -G \
  -d "breakdowns=pa_creator_ig_handle" \
  -d "fields=impressions,reach,inline_link_clicks" \
  -d "access_token=<ACCESS_TOKEN>" \
  "https://graph.facebook.com/v27.0/<AD_CAMPAIGN_ID>/insights"

The response has one row per creator handle.

Can I filter to one creator?

Yes. Use the filtering parameter on the pa_creator_ig_handle field with EQUAL, NOT_EQUAL, IN or NOT_IN. Meta's example uses IN with a list of handles, written with the @. This helps when an agency reports one creator's results back to that creator.

Whose handle shows up: the creator's or mine?

The partner's. Meta defines the value as "the Instagram handle of the creator or partner whose identity your partnership ad ran with." Partnership ads can run with creators, brands or other businesses, and you can make either side the primary identity. Meta doesn't say how a partner without an Instagram account shows up.

Do I need a developer to use it?

Today, yes, or a reporting tool that has added this breakdown. Check with your tool's vendor before you count on it.
